Celebrate Middle Eastern Culture at the 4th Annual Taste of the Middle East Festival!

Taste of the Middle East 2022, a vibrant celebration of Middle Eastern cultures in Colorado, showcased the region’s rich heritage through food, art, music, and dance. The event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to experience the diverse flavors and traditions of the Middle East. Organized by 2nd Home Community and Haneen Omar, this event took place on September 17 at the Aurora Municipal Center, drawing a crowd of over 7,000 people.

 

 

 

Taste of the Middle East 2022 delighted attendees with an array of captivating performances. Atef Kamel served as the charismatic MC, leading the audience through the festivities. The event featured talented artists such as Tony Eid, singer Samer Murad, singer Rita Farah, dancer Maysa, traditional dancer Ashraf, and the headliner, Lebanese star George Nehme. These performances immersed the crowd in the vibrant sounds and rhythms of Middle Eastern music, while the dancers showcased the beauty and grace of traditional Middle Eastern dance forms.

 

 

More than 30 vendors participated in the event, offering an enticing selection of Middle Eastern cuisine, crafts, and artwork. Attendees had the opportunity to indulge in a variety of delicious dishes, representing the diverse culinary traditions of the Middle East. From aromatic spices to delectable desserts, the vendors provided a true taste of Middle Eastern flavors, satisfying the palates of all who attended.

 

 

Mayor Coffman, a strong advocate for cultural diversity and community engagement, graced the event as a special guest. His presence demonstrated the significance and support given to events like Taste of the Middle East, fostering unity and appreciation for Middle Eastern cultures within Colorado.
